Chapter 2040 - 2029: Identification Information
Not long after, Karen brought a bespectacled man to Ning Fan's room. The bespectacled man handed over a document, "Sir, take a look. If there's no issue, we'll use this information set."
Ning Fan glanced over it; there were identities for one man and one woman, both nationals of a small country on the Europa Continent.
The information was very authentic, documenting complete histories, even school and work records.
If not personally involved, even Ning Fan wouldn't spot any flaws.
"How did you manage this?"
"Sorry. That's a trade secret."
The bespectacled man's eyes flashed with a hint of wariness, then he looked at Karen with suspicion.
Ning Fan chuckled, "I'm just curious."
"Don't worry, he's our most esteemed guest."
Upon hearing Karen's words, the bespectacled man relaxed.
"Is it credible?"
"Rest assured. We hacked the household registration system and altered the backend records. All work and life records are overseas, outsiders absolutely can't trace it."
After cryptically revealing a bit, the bespectacled man smiled and said, "Everything truly exists. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth this price."
"Alright. Let's proceed with this."
Upon hearing this, Karen said, "As usual. Pay the final payment when the documents are delivered."
"You just need to wait three hours."
After taking photos of Ning Fan and Vivian, the bespectacled man left the room first.
Before leaving, Karen reminded, "Mr. Ning, be cautious, Fabio's people are loitering outside the hotel, likely planning something against you. We offer security services, reach out whenever needed."
"Okay."
Ning Fan nodded, dismissing Karen.
This is the allure of money; such a reminder would have come last night, yet it only arrives now.
"After all, he isn't obligated."
Ning Fan chuckled wryly, not taking it to heart.
Less than three hours later, Ning Fan had two sets of documents in hand.
"Vivian, this is for you. Memorize the information on it."
Seeing Vivian glance at it once and then toss the envelope aside, Ning Fan said displeased, "Your dismissive attitude, I really dislike it."
"Vivian, birthplace Forest Kingdom, raised by adoptive parents in the Sun Never Sets Empire…"
Listening to Vivian recite the details emotionlessly, Ning Fan realized he was mistaken.
Even turned human, her superior memory from divine origins remains, at least this photographic memory is beyond human reach.
"If anyone asks about your background in the future, just go by what's on the documents."
Upon hearing Ning Fan's instructions, Mary interjected, "Are we leaving?"
Ning Fan reminded, "Yes, we are, but not including you."
Ning Fan didn't plan to take Mary to Mount of Light; at such a place filled with Holy Power, he couldn't guarantee Mary's safety.
"Alright."
Mary sighed, aware of her situation, fearing she might hinder Ning Fan if she followed.
"Mary, you won't join us?"
"Hey! What's that look for?"
Noticing Vivian's wary gaze, Ning Fan said displeased, "If you don't trust me, then stay here."
"Then you have to stay too."
"Wishful thinking. I'm going back anyway, do as you wish."
"Vivian, how about you stay with me?"
Mary still didn't know the true relationship between Vivian and Ning Fan.
"Forget it, I'll stay with him."
If she could escape Ning Fan, Vivian would have long figured out a way to return to the Divine Realm, rather than linger in this bug-infested world.
In the Divine Realm, her old lair held treasures amassed over tens of thousands of years.
"Then it's settled, we'll leave tomorrow."
As dinner time approached, without waiting for Ning Fan's notice, the Tang sisters came by for a visit.
Upon entering, Tang Xiaodie sniffed around like a puppy in the room.
Noticing this scene, Ning Fan felt odd, thinking there was a strange smell on him.
The room's occupants—a human, a dragon, and a ghost—though not achieving true purity, had long cleansed themselves of earthly dust, lacking any body odors.
If Ning Fan knew Tang Xiaodie's thoughts, he might chase her out.
"Curious, why isn't there any peculiar smell? Is the book wrong?"
Tang Xiaodie looked around the room, not smelling anything odd, nor seeing disorganized furnishings.
"Can't be they haven't done anything."
Tang Xiaodie eyed Ning Fan skeptically, a sentence floated in her mind: A tidy room, no smell, either a fake girl or gay.
"Ignoring two beauties, maybe that's possible."
Faced with those clever eyes, Ning Fan couldn't help but ask, "Miss Tang, am I doing something wrong?"
"No."
Tang Xiaodie shook her head, conceding under her sister's threatening gaze.
"It's getting late, let's go."
After all, they agreed to treat the Tang sisters tonight.
Having understood Ning Fan's character, during dinner Tang Xiaoyue didn't probe, but kept introducing the sights on Hong Kong Island, extending an invitation.
Ning Fan laughed, "Mary, I suggest you stay here. Then you can visit Hong Kong Island with Tang Xiaoyue."
"Absolutely, I'll treat you both well."
Just after speaking, Tang Xiaoyue realized, "Mr. Ning, are you leaving Gambling City?"
Ning Fan nodded, "Yes, Vivian and I are going to the Holy Religious Nation."
"Mr. Ning is a Believer of the Church of Light?"
"No, we're just tourists."
"Really?"
Tang Xiaoyue's expression turned slightly unnatural, seemingly not expecting this.
Ning Fan smiled, "Miss Tang, regarding that matter you mentioned, Mary is more than enough."
"Naturally. Mary, please take care of it."
After finishing, Tang Xiaoyue smiled, "When are you departing?"
"Can't say exactly. Probably based on the flight time."
"Then I'll see you off."
The dinner atmosphere remained pleasant, but Ning Fan noticed Tang Xiaoyue's hesitant demeanor.
The reason was clearly the Dongying gambling incident; Tang Xiaoyue evidently doubted Mary's capabilities.
Though he understood the distrust, Ning Fan had no intention to offer lengthy explanations.
He'd done all he needed to do.
What comes next depends on Tang Xiaoyue's choice.
After dinner, Ning Fan declined Tang Xiaoyue's invitation, choosing to return alone to his room to rest.
A group of women going to sing, he wasn't interested in joining.
"Seems I must depart tonight."
Ning Fan checked flight details; a flight to the Holy Religious Nation at four in the morning.
"But before that, there's still one thing to deal with."
Ning Fan looked out the window; in a dim corner outside the hotel, someone was peering with binoculars towards this direction.
"Indeed a local hooligan. Seems they've swayed hotel staff as well."
